Eligibility Criteria (As on December 01, 2024)
Nationality:
- Indian citizens
- Individuals from Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees (before January 1, 1962) intending permanent settlement in India
- Persons of Indian origin who have migrated from specified countries with eligibility certificates issued by the Indian Government.
Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 58 years
- Maximum Age: 62 years
Educational Qualification:
- Civil Engineers retired at a senior level from Central/State Government or Public Sector Undertakings.
- Desirable qualification: Candidates with an Information Technology (IT) background.
Work Experience:
- Essential: Prior experience in handling vigilance matters, procurement processes, and construction project monitoring.
- Desirable: Experience in IT-related works or projects.
Job Responsibilities
The Superintending Engineer (Vigilance) will:
- Investigate complaints related to construction projects and procurement processes.
- Inspect ongoing projects and scrutinize compliance reports.
- Address queries about contracts and tenders as per Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) guidelines.
- Offer advice on preventive vigilance measures and procurement practices.
- Draft and review legal documents like charge-sheets and notices.
- Handle other duties assigned by the Chief Vigilance Officer.
Tenure & Contract Terms
- Initial Term: 1 year, extendable up to 2 more years based on performance.
- Notice Period for Termination: 3 months from either side.
Pay Scale and Perks
- Monthly Emoluments: Starting from ₹3,57,200/- up to ₹4,06,500/- based on qualifications and experience.
- Housing Allowance: ₹90,000/- (specific to Mumbai). Adjustments for other locations.
- Annual Increment: Linked to inflation and revised every February.
- Leave Benefits: 30 days per year (pro-rata basis). Unused leave cannot be carried forward.
- Travelling & Halting Allowances: As per RBI Grade 'D' norms.
- Superannuation Benefits: Not applicable.
- Mobile Facility: Mobile phone provided as per RBI Grade 'D' norms.
- Sodexo Coupons: Available upon request.
- Medical Facilities: Access to RBI dispensaries.
