​Ans.- Generally you should have these Qualifications:

• Graduation with 55% Marks + B.Ed./M.Ed.
• Post-Graduation with minimum 60% Marks.
•  NET, SLET or TET (whichever applicable) Qualified
•  Ph.D. in Relevant Discipline

You can make Career in Teachership as PRT (Primary Teacher), TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) or PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) also called Lecturers.

Qus.- What is PRT, TGT and PGT etc. ? Are they Courses or just Titles ?
Ans.- PRT, TGT and PGT are titles that are being used by the recruiters, for the recruitment of vacancies. And these are not the name of courses.
PRT (Primary Teacher) -  Friends PRT is a short form used for the recruitment of primary school teachers.

TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) - Friends this means, you are a graduate, who is trained in teaching. If you clear your B.Ed, then you already become a TGT. Thus, TGT is title given to teachers who have completed their graduation and with B.Ed and you can apply for TGT Vacancies.

PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) - This means, if you are a post-graduate (eg., M.A.), and have done your B.Ed or M.Ed then you become a post graduate teacher and you can apply for PGT Vacancies.
