MPERC or Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission is a commission established to safe guarding interest of both consumers and electricity industry. To determine tariff for electricity which is just, fair and reasonable. To promote efficiency economy and safety in the working of licensees.
Functions of MPERC
To grant, revoke and amend Licenses for transmission and supply. 
To regulate the working of licensees.· 
Fix and regulate Tariff. 
To set and enforce standards for the electricity Industry. 
Aid and advice Government on all matters concerning electricity industry .
