One day a Shepherd was looking after a flock of sheep. There was a lamb, who was also grazing the grass along with the flock of sheep. The lamb saw that there is a bunch of Sweetgrass on the other side of the field. So the lamb went to the other side of the field to chew some of them.
The lamb got so much engaged in grazing the Sweetgrass as he could not notice that a wolf is coming near to him. Soon the lamb realised that there is a wolf wants to eat him. The lamb quickly start pleading, “please, please don’t eat me as my stomach is full of grass, I would taste much better if you eat me after a while.”
The wolf agreed to the lamb and sat down and waited. After a while the lamb again plead to the wolf, “if you let me dance, the grass in my stomach will digests faster.” The wolf agreed to that again.
The lamb asked the wolf to ring a bell while he dances. That will help him to dance faster he further added. So the wolf took a bell and started to ring. As soon as the Shepherd heard the sound of the bell and he found that a lamb is missing from the flock. So he sent few dogs in pursuit of the lamb where the sound was coming from. The barking dogs soon found the lamb and scared away the wolf.
