Thomas Edison is the scientist who invented the electric bulb. But he had to do a lot of hard work. Thomas Edison tried at least 2000 elements to make the filament that can be used in an electric bulb. But it did not work satisfactorily. His assistant got annoyed and complained, “Sir we have tried different methods but none of them seems to be working, it seems we have learned nothing so far.”
Thomas Edison looked at his assistant and replied very confidently, “no we have learned a lot as now we know that there are 2000 different materials that cannot be used to make a good electric bulb”.
